Aino Aalto Side Table 606 for Artek in Black

Designed by Aino Aalto in 1932, the 606 side table is a refined example of functional Finnish modernism. Its compact black tabletop is supported by a lightweight tubular steel frame with a distinctive open circular base.

The practical three-quarter base allows the table to slide partially beneath a sofa, armchair or bed, making it ideal as a side table for books, drinks or lighting. Model 606 was originally developed for the Paimio Sanatorium and is produced by Artek in Finland.

Measurements: Height 45 cm; Top diameter 40 cm; Base diameter 50 cm. The table provides a practical surface while keeping its materials, proportions and construction clearly expressed.

Good vintage condition with age-related wear. The tabletop has some minor marks consistent with use. The structure remains sturdy. Please review all images for details.
