Artek 82A Table in White Laminate by Alvar Aalto
Artek 82A Table in White Laminate by Alvar Aalto
The Aalto Table 82A is a rectangular dining table designed by Alvar Aalto in 1933 and manufactured by Artek in Finland. This example combines a clean white high-pressure laminate surface with the warmth of a natural birch frame.
Aalto developed his characteristic L-leg by bending laminated birch at a right angle, allowing the leg to connect directly to the tabletop without a separate supporting structure. The system became one of the defining construction principles of the Aalto furniture collection and gives the table its clear, economical profile.
Model 82A measures 150 × 85 cm and is suited to dining for approximately four to six people. The legs and tabletop edge band are solid birch, while the white laminate provides a practical, easy-to-clean surface. Its restrained materials and balanced proportions make the table suitable for both dining and working environments.
This is a relatively recent production example. It is in neat used condition; minor light signs of normal use may be present, but there is no notable damage. The laminate top is clean and well kept. Please review all images for details.

Material-aware guidance Care for this piece
Based on the materials stated in this piece’s product information. Vintage finishes vary, so test any product on an inconspicuous area first.
Wood
Dust with a soft cloth. For light cleaning, use a barely damp cloth and dry immediately. Protect the surface from standing water, direct heat and strong sunlight; do not oil, sand or refinish unless the original finish is known.
Laminate or linoleum surface
Use a soft cloth with mild, diluted soap, then wipe clean and dry. Avoid abrasive pads, concentrated cleaners, solvents and leaving moisture at seams or edges. Use coasters and protect the surface from hot objects.
