About the designer
Michel Ducaroy
Michel Ducaroy trained in Lyon and became closely connected with the Roset company during its transition into Ligne Roset. His work responded directly to the new foams, synthetic fibres and plastics becoming available to furniture makers in the 1960s and 1970s. Instead of concealing those materials inside conventional frames, he used them to develop low, informal forms with their own structure and identity.
The Togo, designed in 1973, is Ducaroy’s best-known work for Ligne Roset. It is an all-foam seating family with generously quilted covers, produced as individual chairs, sofas, corners and ottomans that can be used alone or combined. Other Ducaroy designs explore related ideas in different structures and proportions. On vintage examples, module type, dimensions, labels, foam condition and upholstery all matter.
Pino reviews each piece individually. Original fabric or leather may display wear and patina, while restored examples may have renewed upholstery or internal foam. Colour can also vary between modules because of production period, material and exposure to light. Product pages describe the known condition and edition, and we can provide more photographs or measurements when you are assembling a set.
See the active pieces above, compare earlier examples in the Pino Archive, and explore the permanent Ligne Roset Togo guide. If the correct module, upholstery or configuration is not currently available, start a sourcing request.
Togo modules are designed to meet one another, but vintage sets require careful comparison. Fabric batches, fading, foam density and production period can create visible differences even when the module types are compatible. Exact matching should therefore be confirmed from detailed photographs and dimensions.
Questions
Buying vintage design
Are all Pino Interiors pieces authentic?
Yes. Pino Interiors only acquires and sells pieces that we have established to be authentic. If we are not confident about a piece’s authenticity, we do not offer it for sale.
Can I request more information about a piece?
Yes. Send us the product link and tell us which details you would like to inspect. We can provide additional photographs, measurements or video when needed.
Can Pino source another piece by this designer?
Possibly. Send us the designer, model and your preferred materials, colour, quantity and delivery location. Vintage availability varies, so timing cannot be guaranteed.
