Arne Jacobsen Prepop Dining Set – Yellow, Asko 1970s

Designed in 1969, the Prepop dining set is one of Arne Jacobsen’s most playful late designs, and a truly rare sight in real life. Produced by Asko in Finland, it captures that late-60s future optimism mood with bold curves and a graphic silhouette that still feels fresh today.

The set includes a round table and six matching bentwood chairs in a bright yellow finish, paired here with zebra-pattern seat cushions. The chairs have that signature Prepop cut-out detail in the backrest, which also makes them easy to lift and move around. The table’s sculptural base mirrors the chair forms, so the whole group reads as one cohesive piece rather than separate items.

Its proportions, material character and surface details allow the piece to sit comfortably in both contemporary and vintage interiors.

There are light signs of use and wear on both the chairs and the table, but the overall look is clean and well kept for a vintage set. It has been professionally repainted at some point. Please review all images for details.
