Alvar Aalto Stool E60 with Mint-Green Seat for Artek

Alvar Aalto designed the four-legged Stool E60 for Artek as a development of his earlier Stool 60. These examples were manufactured in Finland in 2019 and combine clear-lacquered natural birch legs with mint-green painted birch seats.

The construction is based on Aalto’s characteristic L-leg: four bent solid-birch legs attach directly beneath the circular seat without a separate supporting frame. The result is compact, stable and immediately recognisable.

The stools can be stacked in the spiralling arrangement associated with the model and are versatile enough to serve as seating, occasional tables or display surfaces. Four examples are available, each sold individually, with minor variation possible between units.

The stools are in very tidy pre-owned condition with no major scratches or noteworthy defects reported. Please review all images for details.
