Sigurd Ressell Leather and Rosewood Swivel Lounge Chair, 1970

This 1970 swivel lounge chair by Norwegian designer Sigurd Ressell combines cognac-toned leather with a sculptural rosewood frame and polished chrome details. Its low, generous proportions and button-tufted upholstery give it a relaxed vintage character.

Designed by Ressell in 1970, the chair reflects the period’s emphasis on comfort and expressive laminated-wood construction. The four-star pedestal base swivels, adding practical movement to the broad lounge form.

A canvas support sling carries the upholstered seat and back within the rosewood frame, while chrome fittings articulate the structural connections. Deep button tufting shapes the cushions and emphasises the warmth of the aged leather. This listing is for the chair only; no Ottoman is included.
