Artek Wall Shelf 112 by Alvar Aalto 1940s

Highly sought after among collectors, this rare birch wall shelf was designed by Alvar Aalto and produced for Artek in the 1940s. Early Aalto shelves have become increasingly difficult to find and this example captures the clearest expression of his signature bentwood language from the era.

The shelf features two sculptural bent birch brackets supporting a clean floating plank. It works just as well in a hallway, bedroom or study and brings warmth and quiet personality to any interior. A true piece of Finnish modernist history and a standout addition to any design collection.
