Artek Stool 60 by Alvar Aalto, Black
Artek Stool 60 by Alvar Aalto, Black
Alvar Aalto’s iconic Stool 60, designed for Artek in 1933. The three-legged stool is one of the best-known Finnish design classics, featuring Aalto’s characteristic bent birch L-legs and a simple round seat.
These vintage examples have been painted black at a later stage, giving them a darker, more graphic appearance while retaining the original Artek form. Suitable as stools, small side tables or bedside tables.
Measurements: Height 44 cm; Overall diameter 38 cm; Seat diameter 34.5 cm. The stool’s compact proportions make it versatile as seating, an occasional surface or a small display piece.
Good vintage condition. The stools are sturdy and stable. The black paint is a later addition and shows general signs of age and use, including some surface wear and small marks. Please review all images for details.
