Artek Chair 69 with Zebra Upholstery by Alvar Aalto

Vintage Chair 69 designed by Alvar Aalto for Artek. The chair combines Aalto’s familiar curved birch construction with compact and practical proportions, making it suitable for use around a dining table, at a desk or as an individual accent chair. This version features a natural birch frame with bold black-and-white zebra-patterned upholstery.

The graphic textile creates a playful contrast with the warm, heavily patinated wood while preserving the recognisable character of the original Artek design. The visible patina gives each chair an individual appearance and makes the group particularly suitable for interiors where signs of age and previous use are appreciated rather than hidden.

The chair’s scale and clear profile allow it to work naturally as an individual seating piece in both contemporary and vintage interiors.
